Livingston played one season for Kentucky, averaging 6.3 points per game for a Wildcats team that was mostly average by that program's standards. The 6-foot-6 freshman averaged 6.3 points per game. He was a Southeastern Conference all-freshman team selection, starting in 26 games. There was nothing really statistically that stood out as he scored in double figures just once in his last six Kentucky games. He shot 30.5 percent on 3s, so that's not likely to be enough to create much optimism. He arrived as a five-star recruit and a McDonald's All-American and was largely considered a one-year college player, but he didn't enhance his reputation. He was given ample opportunity to produce with regular playing time with the Wildcats.
Strengths: He received high grades for defense and his ability to play a physical style might be a good foundation for getting some traction at the next level. His wingspan is another boost for his defensive potential. With Kentucky, he held opponents to less than 38-percent shooting when he was the primary defender.
Weaknesses: He hasn't shown the ability to be an impact offensive player at the college level or against other draft-eligible players. He needs time to develop skills that will translate against professional players. If he can elevate his game in terms of becoming a more consistent scorer, it might be difficult to project that he can excel enough in other areas to make up for that.
